Tasty Tequila, Flying Burritos, chocolate chasing maidens, winged horses and smoking guns sums up the fun around what The Flying Burrito Brothers really are! Seriously though we are a Mexican-themed restaurant that aims to cater for a previously underdeveloped market in New Zealand. Our maxim is genuine Fresh-Mex and as such our emphasis tends to be less on fried food and more on fresh green vegetables and herb flavours. We strive to provide an authentic take on Mexican cuisine influenced by inventive Kiwi produce. We are committed to providing quality service and food with no short-cuts or compromises; so the majority of our products are made daily in-house.
Our bar stocks an extensive range of exceptional Tequilas; we are able to offer great value in our tasting platters of tequila, along with a unique experience. The FBB cocktail list predominates in takes on the Margarita, but has also many fruit based cocktails many of which have been created by the FBB. The wine-list offers New Zealand, Australian, French, Spanish and South American wines - including the occasional one from Mexico. Emphasis is on high acid wines: fruity and herbaceous crisp whites and smooth supple berry flavoured reds with little tannin; these wines are ideally paired with the rich and extroverted spices inherent to Mexican cuisine.
The Restaurant design relies heavily on the Mexican influence too; the Colours, used, are “burnt desert” with exciting and vivid Mexican splashes of colour, the decorations have been imported directly from Mexico. Old Mexican movie posters and crucifixes decorate the walls. The light fixtures, also from Mexico, provide a warm filtered glow, as do the candles and the mini cactus gardens maintain the theme.
Our service style is relaxed and friendly, but manages to maintain an informed, efficient experience; FBB strives to capture those in pursuit of a fun experience, the diners that enjoy authentic Mexican food and fine exotic beverages. We also wish to accommodate the burgeoning family market earlier in the evening as well as during lunch time.

Company Benefits
EMPLOYEE DISCOUNTS
As we value your contribution to The FBB we allow employees, when not on duty, 25% discount while dining in the restaurant or drinking at the bar. This discount may also apply to other associated business, and is available once you “Have Earned Your Wings”. The discount only applies to the employee and is not extended to any other members dining with the employee.
STAFF MEALS
As we value your contribution to making our business a success, we would still like to see staff enjoy a meal together. Therefore the following policy has been adopted:
Items on the Staff menu are discounted by 50% of the normal menu price. Should items on the staff menu not be your preferred choice, then you may choose from the normal menu item and receive your 25% staff discount.
