Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organisation's complex network infrastructure across multiple sites in New Zealand. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring network reliability, security, and performance to support business operations and growth. • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure • Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement optimisation strategies to ensure high availability • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents, minimising downtime and business impact • Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and architecture diagrams • Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and VPN solutions • Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance across the IT team • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering roles • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent • Proven experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and SD-WAN technologies • Experience with network security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies • Full New Zealand work rights with the ability to pass a background check • Competitive salary package between $120,000 – $145,000 depending on experience • Flexible working arrangements including hybrid work options • Professional development budget for certifications and training • Additional leave entitlements and wellbeing support programme
